North Carolina Shrimp Tour Details
$69 per person, inclusive.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday – Noon
Includes local guide, food samples, some non-alcoholic beverages, taxes, restaurant gratuities, and bike rental. This tour is similar to a progressive meal.
Downtown Beaufort, NC, Historic District and waterfront.
The North Carolina Shrimp Tour is limited to a maximum of eight (8) participants, allowing for
a more intimate and manageable group that offers you maximum enjoyment.
We can do a private tour with young adults under 21 years old. Call for details!

Hungry Town Tours is proud to be a member of Carteret Catch. What a fun day on the Shrimp tour. The three restaurants were
outstanding and we had a great variety of shrimp dishes.
The shrimp we brought home were tasty and the netting
they were wrapped in is a wonderful keepsake.
Hungry Town (Bike) Tours offers culinary tours — shrimp and oyster
and more — bicycle tours around Beaufort. The three-hour
rambles make a handful of stops, and might be the most
fun way to sample and see the town.

At the end of the tour, each couple will receive one pound bag of local shrimp packed for travel from Fishtowne Seafood in Beaufort. Single participants receive one-half pound of shrimp. Since it's inception in 2004, Fishtowne has focused on buying local seafood harvested by local fishermen.
The shrimp come wrapped in authentic fish net from the original Net House in Beaufort. Known locally as the Seine House, the nets were made in Beaufort. So, participants get to take home a small piece of Beaufort’s maritime history.

On the North Carolina Shrimp Tour, you'll enjoy delicious samplings where the main dish is fresh local shrimp! Your guide will share stories about Beaufort’s history, as you see the many ways that shrimp is prepared. You’ll also receive recipes paired with oils and vinegar to create their own shrimp dishes at home.
